Casey NicholsCasey Nichols is a PhD student at Stanford University. Her primary field of interest is 20th Century U.S. Urban History. In 2009, Casey earned a MA in History from the University of Washington, Seattle. While at UW, she served a two-year term as webmaster for blackpast.org. In 2007, Casey earned a BA in History magna cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, where she completed an article titled, “Common Resistance Through Popular Culture: African American and Mexican American Hipsters in WWII Los Angeles”. Her research interests are in race, class, and gender in Urban America.
